Our Story
In 2025, Scotland successfully hosted EURYPAA, the European Young People in AA Convention right here in Glasgow. This convention was a powerful demonstration of the strength and fellowship of young people in recovery, bringing together over 700 attendees from across Europe and beyond. The energy, shared experience, and deep connection felt during that weekend showed us all what is possible when we work together.
Our Mission
SCOTYPAA is more than just an event; it’s a dedicated service body committed to carrying the message to young people in Scotland.
Unity and Connection: Our primary goal is to foster unity within the Scottish community and create a welcoming environment where young people can connect and share their experience, strength, and hope.
Carrying the Message: We aim to support the formation and growth of young people’s groups, conferences, and activities across Scotland, ensuring that the primary purpose of AA remains accessible and attractive to the next generation.
Service and Growth: We believe that sustained recovery is built on service. SCOTYPAA provides opportunities for young people to get involved, develop leadership skills, and give back to the community, strengthening both their own sobriety and the wider community.
